How to change your public visibility

Choose whether public passages show your public name and photo or community attribution.

Updated 8/25/2026 public visibility, public profile, public name, profile photo, creator hub

Use Public Visibility to control how your identity appears beside passages you publish to the PicoBuddy community.

Change the setting

  1. Sign in to PicoBuddy.
  2. Open your profile menu in the top-right corner and choose My Account.
  3. Scroll to Public Visibility.
  4. Choose one of these options:
    • Public Profile shows your public name, profile photo, role, and public passages.
    • Private Profile hides your public name and photo. Your public passages are labelled Shared by PicoBuddy Community, and your public profile page is disabled.

The change is saved when you select the option. If your Creator Hub is active, View Profile opens the public page other people can see. Public profile pages currently activate after you create your first five reading passages.

Public profile versus public passages

This setting changes the attribution attached to your public creations. It does not remove your public passages from the PicoBuddy library or turn them into private passages. To keep a new passage private, use Make this passage private during creation when your plan includes that option.

The account page shows the name and photo currently connected to your account; Public Visibility controls whether they are shown publicly.
