How to put something ready on a child’s Shelf

The Shelf is where a child finds the individual activities you chose for them. A Shelf item waits in their child space until they finish it or you remove it.

Put something ready

1. Open a supported passage, grammar or vocabulary activity, word game, or other resource.
2. Look for the button with the gift icon and the words Put ready for….
3. Select the button and choose your child’s or student’s profile. The activity is placed on their Shelf immediately.

On a passage page, PicoBuddy may already show your child’s or student’s profile in the delivery section. In that case, select Send it beside the gift icon for the correct profile.

The item appears on your child’s or student’s Shelf. The same unfinished item cannot be placed on the same Shelf twice, and a Shelf can hold up to ten waiting items.

Check or remove Shelf items

1. Open My Library and select Children.
2. Open your child’s or student’s profile.
3. Open What's next.
4. Review the Shelf. You can remove an item that is still waiting.

When your child or student finishes a Shelf activity, it leaves the waiting section and the result is saved with their profile.
