How to prepare an activity for your child or student
Choose an activity for a learner and see how it appears and saves in their own PicoBuddy space.
The current learner flow does not ask a child to type a name after every quiz. Activities completed through kid access are connected to the learner profile automatically.
Before the learner starts
Create the learner profile and kid access first. See Manage learner profiles and Help a child sign in.
Choose one activity for the learner
A grown-up can choose a suitable passage, grammar or vocabulary activity, or word game and put it ready for a learner. Nothing is assigned automatically just because the adult created or opened it.
You can also create a practice path from the learner's What's next area. A practice path lines up a short sequence at the learner's level. The adult can preview it, swap an activity that does not fit, or stop the path.
What the learner does
- The learner signs in through their private link, QR code, login card, or pairing code.
- They open the activity from their own screen.
- They complete the reading, quiz, practice set, or game.
- PicoBuddy saves the completion and score to the learner profile when that activity supports results.
The child does not need to enter a display name or complete a separate save step. The result is connected to the profile automatically.
After the activity
The adult can open My Library, choose the learner, and review the recent activity or full Results area. Some activities provide answer review; others save a score or completion only.
Learner profiles and kid access are the current way to keep activities and results together.
