How to create your first passage
Choose a topic, level, text type, and length, then review the result before using it.
Use Create when you want a new reading passage built around your own topic.
Create the passage
- Sign in and open Create a passage.
- Describe the topic or idea. Do not include a learner's full name or other unnecessary personal information.
- Choose the reading level, text type, and length.
- Review any additional options shown in the form, then choose Generate.
PicoBuddy creates a new passage with supporting questions and answers. Generation can make mistakes, so read the passage and answer key before sharing, printing, or assigning it.
After generation
The passage is saved to My Library. From the passage page you can read it online, prepare practice, download available resources, or use Remix to make a separate version at another level or language. Available downloads and creation limits depend on the current plan; Pricing is the source for current allowances.
