Privacy in the kid space
What a child shares when they sign in, and which tracking is switched off for them.
How a child signs in
An adult account holder creates the login for each child: a private link, a QR code, or a 6-digit code they type at picobuddy.com/kids. There is no child email address and no password, the child never creates an account of their own, and the adult can reset or revoke that login at any time.
The profile name the adult chose is shown to the child and saved with everything they finish, so results land under the right name. A nickname or initials are enough; a full legal name is not required.
What is stored with an activity: answers, score, completion time, which activity it was, and the technical information needed to deliver and secure the session.
Tracking in the kid space
Kid-facing routes do not use marketing or advertising tracking, retargeting, social pixels, or third-party session replay. An adult's cookie choices do not switch those tools back on while a child is signed in.
PicoBuddy may still process minimal technical information for authentication, fraud prevention, rate limiting, reliability, and security. This operational information must not be used to build a marketing profile of a child.
Pico's AI help is off until you turn it on
A child only meets Pico's AI when the adult switches it on for that specific child, and the adult can read back everything the child and Pico said. It stays off for every child by default.
Treat a login like a key
Do not publish a child's login link or code. If it reaches the wrong person, reset it from that child's page ā the old link and code stop working immediately.
