How to create and manage a practice path

Review a short sequence of activities, put it ready for a learner, and change it when needed.

Updated 8/25/2026 practice path, plan activities, swap activity, what next

A practice path is a sequence of four activities at your learner's level. You choose the goal and review the proposal before it becomes available to the learner.

Prepare a path

  1. Open My Library and select Children.
  2. Open the learner's profile and choose What's next.
  3. In Practice path, choose Plan a path.
  4. Choose the available goal, level, and topics that fit the learner.
  5. Choose Show me a proposal when that step is shown.
  6. Open the proposed activities to check them. Use Swap for another activity if one does not fit.
  7. Choose Put this path ready for the named learner.

Available goals depend on the account's content language. A proposal alone does not start the path.

Decide what happens afterward

Keep it going by itself starts a similar path automatically after completion. Leave it off if you want the learner to choose harder, the same, or gentler at the end.

Change or stop a path

Return to What's next to review progress or swap an unfinished activity. Choose Put it away to stop the current path, then confirm. Finished activities stay saved.

A path is different from the Shelf: the Shelf holds individual activities you selected. See Put something on a child's Shelf.

Kid access is needed for the learner to use their own space. See How a child signs in.
