Read Aloud plays a passage so a learner can follow the text while listening.
Play a passage
- Open an English or Spanish passage.
- Find the audio section labeled Listen to the passage title.
- Sign in with the adult account if prompted.
- Use the play control. If the audio is being prepared, wait for the status to finish.
- Use the player to pause, replay, or move through the audio.
PicoBuddy can prepare audio in the background. If you return later, reopen the same passage.
Check access and allowances
See Pricing for current Read Aloud access and monthly allowances. The player shows when an account limit applies.
Replaying a passage already unlocked during the current month does not use another audio allowance.
Read Aloud is separate from Pico's child AI conversations. Playing passage audio does not turn on child AI help.
